Suicides, irregular rains, poverty, fragmented land holdings, soil erosion, a weak irrigation system.. The plight of Indian farmers is endless. ‘Re ma pa ni’ our 7th song is a dedication and prayer of hope for them. Based on the upbeat and happy Raag Brindavani Sarang, it brings together a plethora of ethnic musical sounds from the Indian landscapes and blends them with western sensibilities . Featuring the soulful Ravanhattha of Nathuram Bhopa from Rajasthan, and a funky four-way jam between the powerful rhythm section of the collective, this one is for our ‘Matra Bhumi’, our mother land !
